Camping with dog?

Question

So my boyfriend and I are going camping by the lake for our anniversary and we’re thinking about taking our dog. He’s good with other dogs and people. Pros? Cons?

Highly depends on how you plan to accomodate you all. My dogs have to share the tent at night for a multitude of reasons. A major one being wildlife in our area and the chances of a bear or mountain lion passing through. Honestly it all comes down to your dog and you. However just because your dog is dog friendly does not mean every dog that will be around is so be aware.

Pros are it's a lot of fun! Cons are your dog won't be allowed everywhere - generally beaches sometimes the whole lake is off limits. Also anytime someone beeps their car locked at night, expect your dog to bark lol Either because she's startled or other dogs bark. It sets off the whole camp. Overall I had a lot of fun camping with my pup!
