Washing baby clothes

I'm a new mom and I think this is an obvious question that I know the answer to but I just wanted to know what other moms do. I've bought new clothes for my baby. I should wash them before she wears them even if they are brand new right? I'm pretty sure it's an obvious yes but I'm curious.
