Is Deacon a bad name choice?

A few people have told me that they're worried that Deacon will have a lot of people making "dick jokes" about his name. This is the only name my husband and I have agreed on and we've been calling him Deacon the whole pregnancy. I'm due in a month and now I'm questioning the name.

I don’t like the name, but I don’t think it’s a bad choice. I would have never thought of the word “dick” due to the name lol. That’s a stretch on their part. Go with the name if you like it.

Didn’t think that once. I do have friends who just named heir some Deacon and they call him Dekes (deeks). I think it’s adorable!!

Honestly, if kids want to make fun of something they’re going to find a way to do it.  Kids are just brats like that.  If they can’t make fun of a name, then they will find a body part, or literally ANYTHING until they can find something that suits them.  The name is great!  If you guys love it then use it and don’t worry about what others think.
