I had an early scan yesterday because I’ve had brown spotting all week with a little bit of red twice.

They found the yolk sac but no baby yet but I’m only 5 weeks and 5/6 days so that’s not a bad sign.

The only bad thing was that the gestational sac is not round but too long and oval or worm shaped.

It could be that there’s blood inside.

The round part around the yolk sac is normal but the left ‘wormy’ part should not be there.

I read stories where it turned into a mc but also stories where the gestational sac changed in a week to a ‘normal’ round shape.

Anyone here that has had the same or talks to her OB soon? The waiting and not knowing is so hard.
