Had our 20 week appt and anatomy scan today. The ultrasound confirmed that she is in fact a girl (earlier scan at 16 weeks told us). The dr said he wasnt able to see all of angles of her heart, bowel, and liver that he wanted to see, so he is referring me to a specialist to have a second scan completed. I saw the 4 chambers and her heartbeat has always been strong and perfectly in range. I asked if he was simply sending us to the specialist for extra scans, or if he had seen any red flags , and he said that he hadn't seen any flags but just wanted to see everything more clearly. My quad screen came back perfect at 16 weeks and there havent been any other concerns. Anyone else been thru this and had everything come back normal after all? I'm trying not to stress when it could be nothing....😕
