Safe to travel to Punta Cana while preg?

This is my first pregnancy and we have our trip already booked for Punta Cana in July for 9 days. I will be 5 months along. Is it safe to travel so far like that? I worry about the Zika virus. Please help with answers

Always speak to your doctor. Personally I’d postpone if there’s been recent cases of Zika but your doctor will know best xx

You shouldn’t go anywhere were they have Zika virus present while pregnant.

I personally would not. I honeymooned in Punta Cana. It was amazing, but the mosquitoes were everywhere. I wouldn’t risk the Zika.
