Is it wrong to be engaged at 17???

I'm 17 my boyfriend will be 17 in October. I love him with all my heart. We have been together for 1 year 1/2. I know I wanna spend my life with him because I've never felt this way with any other guy before.

My aunt and uncle have been together since they were about 14 or 15 and they are now 50 and are happily married still to this day with 5 beautiful children if you thinks it's true love then I say go for it!

I started dating my first love at 13 and it lasted 7 years.  I was completely and totally in love with him, but didn't really know what it meant to be in an adult relationship. I didn't have enough life experience and didn't know who I would be as an adult, never mind him. I'm 37 now, we are still friends, but married to other people much better suited to each if us and I am so glad. There is no rush. I say live life. Have experiences. Learn who you are. You might think you already know, but that us not possible at 17. You won't recognize yourself in 5 years. Promise. Date him. Love him. But no need to rush into marriage. Just my 2 cents.

We all have different paths in life, so I can't say whether it's right or wrong for you necessarily. What I can share is that I felt the same way about someone when I was 17. We were so in love.

I was with my be for 4 years before getting engaged at age 18. I then went to college and lived with him and I learned a totally different side to him, a really abusive side. it didn't work out. ..

I think it would really depend on the person. If you both are mature, and have even dating for a sufficient amount of time, I don't really see anything wrong with it.
