When can I be induced?

I'm currently 39 weeks and 1 day. No sign of baby. Will they automatically induce me at 40 weeks or I have to go pass 40 weeks? Help!!!! I just want him out

My doc won't talk induction without seeing cervical changes first. He's willing to let me keep on since my body and baby seem quite content to keep on going.

I got induced at 39 weeks exactly. It all depends on your doctor. I would call and ask.

The way it was with my cousin when she went over 40 weeks she got a appointment and they got a date when they would induce her if the baby didn't come before :)
