Ladies and gentlemen is it okay for you so to still be calling and texting his or her ex even its not at all concerning the child they share together? And calling each other 'pet' names ex: babe?

Sure! And they can have sleepovers and dates too!

Because I would dump him/her immediately. They want to act like they're dating, I'm not going to stand in the way of them actually dating. 😉

If he's calling her babe or any other cute nick name then you can basically say something is going on between them and they could be hooking up! I would definitely be getting to the bottom of it and leaving.

So, I'm not condoning this behavior whatsoever. However my soon to be ex husband does this with me. I don't like it and I've told him to stop but he won't. I do not return the pet name calling. It absolutely disgusts me that he does it. I truly believe he's trying to manipulate me. Just pay attention to body language. Trust your gut. You know when something is off.
