Have your ever stuffed a pocket diaper too much to the point where it was pretty fluffy and then the fit wasn’t tight enough and it leaked out before it even absorbed? (I don’t think this is an issue where the diapers need to be stripped, by the way..)

I put a bumgenius pocket on our baby girl before bed and stuffed it with two Thirsties hemp inserts and the bumgenius insert. She leaked out of the side within an hour and half. I think because it was so bulky, that I didn’t snap it tight enough to get a good fit. I was afraid to make it TOO tight (everyone says to avoid the muffin top) and I’m afraid that’s why it leaked.

Does this sound normal?

I’d love to know what night diapers work for you! Our four month old is 17 lbs-ish (Thirsties duo wrap snap size 2 and pocket diapers are what we have used) and sleeps 10-12 hours at night. So she def needs a solid fluff bum overnight!
