Sunburn Relief?!?! 😭

Hello ladies, I am so so very sun burned and am curious to how you help or heal your sun burns?!

Oddly enough one of my closest friends from years ago told me to put sunscreen on the burn. I thought she was crazy, but we were out of town and we had a choir competition the next day and I had burned my shoulders, which would have been seen clearly in my dress the next day. So since I couldn't run out to a store I agreed to try her crazy voodoo. Omg if the burn didn't go away over night. Wouldn't have believed it unless I experienced it. So I would try some sunscreen over night and see if that works for you. Good luck!

A girl I used to work with swears by cutting a tomato in half and rubbing it on the burn. I normally just use aloe Vera gel, but next time I get sunburn I'm planning on trying this tomato thing lol

I hear coconut oil is good for pretty much anything haha. Maybe try it!

I have no 2nd degree sun poison on my face girl so I feel every bit of your pain. I've been using coconut oil and burnjel. Then a ice pack and ibuprofen to help with the swelling. So far it's seeming to work!! 😢

Washcloths soaked in ice cold whole milk! Helped my husband at the beach this month. I've also heard Greek yogurt (full fat/ probiotics help) or black tea bag/ oatmeal bath. Ibuprofen will reduce any pain/ swelling since it's an anti inflammatory (mom is a nurse 😉) Benadryl and cold showers (avoid hot water) should help with itching later... Stay moisturized and hydrated while healing! Aveeno (oatmeal) and cera ve (ceramides , a little pricey, but liquid gold) work wonders. Good luck!

Apple cider vinegar! Works like a charm! I just soak paper towels in it and then lay them on my burns. Takes the pain away instantly!

Coconut oil. My mom got such a bad burn that she had sun poisoning and I kept telling her to use the coconut oil. At first she didn't like it because she said the aloe feels better since it has that cooling feeling and isn't oily. But she took my word for it,  kept using the oil and finally told me I was right and it helped way more and healed faster.
