Is he really into me?

This guy that I met lives about 2 hours away. We don’t see each other very often and we go to different colleges. He texts me that he wants to sleep with me and proclaims that he “wants to be with me”. But I’m not wanting a friend with benefits type deal. I just got out of a serious relationship and though it was heartbreaking in the end, I like having someone to depend on and be there for me and no one else. I’ve explained that to him, multiple times. He texts me every couple of days-week saying that he wants to be with me but eventually just talks about something that has to do with sex again. I went off on him saying that I don’t want to just have sex but he proclaims that that’s not all he wants. I’m very confused and after I got to know him I really liked him until he started doing this. Should I drop him or keep him until he wants something serious?
