infertility appointment?

HOW do I start the process of looking/making a infertility appointment... ? I'm mostly scared and nervous but I know I need one I just started af and this will be our 12 cycle ttc. any help would be appreciated

My doctor gave me a referral and my insurance covers it, I have a appt in July, praying for baby dust.

USA? I called my insurance to find out what they would cover (nothing really) and then just called the nearest fertility clinic to make an appointment. It was quite easy so I didn’t even have to wait to get to see my OBgyn first. I paid out of pocket for my blood work and the ultrasounds they did as well as the semen analysis they did on my hubby. It was money well spent for me as they found my Thyroid Stimulant Hormone was high and put me on meds for it. Once I got my numbers in check, we got our BFP!

We went to an obgyn first. Had a consultation, then bloodwork/semen anaylsis, I had an hsg. All came back normal besides me having a lower egg reserve (lovely 😪). Next step is Clomid and then from there to a fertility specialist to try an IUI. Already $1600 in the hole with insurance too.
