Is this labor starting? First time mom needs advice!

Question

I’m 37 weeks 6 days! I was getting ready to go to Kohl’s today after breakfast and I started to feel back pain with period like cramping. The back pain would get sharp then travel to my stomach but no hardness in the bump. I’m also very nauseous and tired and the back pain has been constant all day with diarrhea! Sometimes it radiates around then it stops. I keep falling asleep bc I’m so tired. Is this how your labor starts?!

It’s different for everyone.  I never got any back pain when I labored with my first, it was all pelvic pain.  So it could be early labor.

I would call the OB. I had terrible back pain and went to triage and it ended up being kidney stones. Was in hospital for a week and had to have a stent put in. Have to keep it in until I deliver in 7 weeks. Then after birth I have to have the stones blasted because they are too big to pass. Pain was so bad I was contracting. So that's why they kept me in hospital and needed to do surgery.
