My water broke June 22 at 1:30 AM while I was laying in bed trying to fall asleep. I was 38 weeks on the dot. I woke my husband, took a shower, got our bags and drove to the hospital. I was admitted around 2:30 and I was 4 cm dilated. Around 4:30 AM I received the epidural and was 6 cm dilated. My mom showed up a little past 6 AM and around 8 AM I was 8 cm dilated. I started feeling my contractions and the nurses and doctor let me labor out for a while. Around 10:45 it was time to start pushing. Pushed for a little over an hour and at 12:08 Gracelyn was born.
