Need to prevent pregnancy for at least a year.
My hubby and I were trying for years, but could never get pregnant after our "oops" baby 16 years ago(My son was born at full term, healthy baby). Then, less than 2 years ago I got pregnant out of the blue and we weren't trying. I lost that baby and then lost another one 10 months later. I found out I have PCOS after the second loss. I recently had the lap band procedure done in hopes that if I lose the weight, I'll be more likely to carry to full term if we get pregnant again. In the mean time, it's not safe to get pregnant so soon after surgery. I've never taken birth control and I'm wondering if I take it for a year, will it make it harder for me to get pregnant once I stop taking it? I'm going to be 37 this October. I guess my question is will using birth control affect my fertility since I'm older and already have problems conceiving?
