Lengthy post

Katelynn

So this is my first ever post, but I'm finally feeling good enough to share my experience. I had my last depo shot in December of 2016. My doctor then put me on the pill in March, because at that point I was wanting to just regulated again as I hadn't a period the entire time I was on the shot. I then took the pill for 3 months and nothing. So being frustrated thinking the birth control is counterproductive, I stopped taking them all together. September rolls and still nothing. I go to my OBGYN who puts me BACK on the pill to help get my period back. She makes a follow up appointment for me in April. I had my FIRST period in January of 2018, nothing in February, and a period in March. I was originally told to keep taking the pill until I've had 2 regular periods, 2 months in a row. Going back to the doctor in April I was expecting to have my doctor tell me to continue the pill but to my surprise she said I think your body is ready! I'm currently on my period for April, but I'm so ready to truly start TTC! My cycle was spot on, 28 days apart from March to April. I'm curious if my body will be able to do the same without help from the birth control pills. I ordered OPK testing strips. I don't expect to ovulate right away, but you never know I guess. Fingers crossed for May 🤞🤞

Also side note- I've never experienced cramps like the ones I've had since coming off the depo. They have been horrendous.
