Abnormal anatomy scan
So I had my first anatomy scan 4 weeks ago and they didn't really say much but I could tell one kidney was larger than the other and there was something in the brain that should couldn't get a good picture of because my little boy was anything but cooperative lol. I didn't hear anything for two weeks so I figured things were with in normal limits. While I was out of the country I had three voice mails saying they needed a follow up. Called to make a follow up and they said they couldn't tell me why just that I need to make a follow up so I called my doc and her medical assistance said my report was normal and that no abnormalities were found.
So I was extremely frustrated and a little upset when I go into my follow up (and after waiting an hour and a half in the waiting room) and the tech said well there are no more cysts in the brain anymore and that the right kidney is still dialated. At least I was able to talk to the maternal fetal specialist and I have a follow up at 32 weeks to see if he still having the back up in his kidneys and if we have to follow up with a urologist after birth.
There are worst things then only having one kidney but at least everything else was confirmed to be normal by the doctor. I was just so upset over being uninformed after asking to get my results.
