When Do You Start Taking Your Pills. I Was Told When You Start Your Period. You Start The Pack. Is That True?

There should be instructions in your pack. My pills say you can start either the first day of your period or the Sunday after your period starts, whichever you prefer. If you start the day your period starts, you are protected from pregnancy immediately and there should be stickers in your pack to put over the days so you can keep track. If you start on the Sunday after your period starts, you need to use backup protection for 7 days.

It depends on the pill I think. look at the packaging. Mine was either start it on the first day of your period and you're protected immediately, or start it on the Sunday after your period even if you're still bleeding and you're protected after seven days

You start the pill once your period ends! That's what I've always did. Say if you have 28 day pack. When you finish the 28 days of hormonal pills you wait till you get your period(you can take the placebo pills if you want to keep track) after your period you start them again!
