Post pregnancy sex

I gave birth 4 months ago many of you ladies know all the physical emotional changed that bombards your body . My husband and I attempted to have sex once only and it was brutal . Those stitches made it worse that being a virgin . After the first attempt I was so done with sex until further notice . Is it normal I don't care for it ? I am afraid off all the physical pain
