Is a bachelors degree worth it?

I am going to be getting my bachelors degree and I feel like the past four years have been all for nothing and I could have gotten a job right away. Is it worth the time and money to go to school?

Yes. Education is ALWAYS worth it. In the words of Nelson Mandela, "Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world." My husband and I both grew up in households where education is valued and pretty much required. We plan to instill that in our daughter as well. Higher education was not an option for us, it was required. We both hold advanced degrees. I worked in my career field for five years, but when I gave birth to my daughter five months ago, I decided to become a SAHM. I am now in the process of building a business and my education definitely prepared me for it. So, TRUST ME, education is ALWAYS worth it!

If the career field is has high demand, yes. I strongly suggest researching the growth and development in the field you’re considering before pursuing your degree.

I did the opposite and started working after failing a semester at college now I’m back at school at 25 regretting not sticking to it.

Honestly I used to think getting my degree was a waste of time and stupid but now that I look back I wouldn’t have ANY of the skills for the dream career I want without the training I’ve received at uni. 
Depending on the job you want, it is pretty necessary but trust me it’s hard — worth it in the end to do why you love

Your education is one thing that nobody can take from you. Once you earn that degree, it’s yours forever. That being said, the payout for some programs is much better than that of other programs.

Totally worth it. More positions are available to you and you can make good money depending on what you studied

My fiance majored in chemical engineering and has been working at the same restaurant we met at for the past year since graduation. I'm hoping it works out in the end, we're still trying to get his foot in the door somewhere, but the job market is too saturated and it is so hard right now finding either if us a better job- regardless of our educational differences. 
So, I'm not sure what to tell you. I will say that if you do, PLEASE do an internship. He did student lab work but we feel like having an internship would've made more of a difference and potentially lined a job up. At the time he anticipated grad school so he didn't, but if you see a chance 100% do it.
