no ultrasound?!

Question

so i go to my first prenatal appt today but when i called to schedule the appt last week they told me that i won't be able to get my first ultrasound until i'm 14-16 weeks.. meanwhile i'm just now 6. 
has this happened to anyone else? 
did you go get an ultrasound done at a clinic or somewhere that's able to give you one? 
i'm too impatient to wait until i'm that far along lol

hell no. Im 6 weeks 2 days pregnant today. I had my appointment today and got a vaginal ultrasound

the receptionist tried to tell me this also....I said no! that they will schedule me for around the 8 week mark. they did so after I accidentally made the woman cry....I have had 4 miscarriages and the last one was 2-8-18...I just had my appointment on Friday and I got an ultrasound done....I'm not 8 weeks like they thought but I'm five weeks....tell the DOCTOR what you want and why.

The baby's heart beat was 110. they said it was normal. and it would go up in about a week.

I was able to get an early ultrasound due to a previous MC and I’m also lucky enough that my family practice doctor does them herself in office. But before this pregnancy I was told that they normally don’t do a scan until 8-10 weeks! I would call around and see if you are able to get in anywhere else or chat with your doc.

Do some research and see if you have any non profit organizations that provide free pregnancy tests and scans! This is kinda faster than the dr too and you should definetly still to your ob but like you said they wont show you anything unyil 12-14 weeks and i got an appointment for a scan at 6weeks i was even thinking of going to another sp i can get another
