Don't want to test! Ugh

We aren't ttc just yet because we are still getting over our loss and are wanting to wait *according to my husband* until November or so to try because he wants the baby due around his birthday... But anyways this month we had an episode that we were too into it and he didn't pull out and according to my temps it the day I ovulated... I took the plan b pill the next day around 5pm... Well my period was due on today and no signs of it showing... Anyone else have this happen with plan b and end up pregnant or is it just a side effect from the pill? The main reason I took it is because I still had to have a procedure from an abnormal Pap smear and am meeting with a surgeon Monday about my breast lump... I don't want to waste money on a test because my temps have dropped just not below cover line
