Do mental illnesses count as a disability? I’ve always been told I’m just over reacting because I don’t have anything physically wrong with me. I have severe anxiety and depression. My entire life revolves around it, it keeps me from leaving my house (I basically only leave to go to therapy), I had to leave high school and be homeschooled, I’m on medication, go to therapy constantly, and have doctors appointments every month (if I’m lucky every two). I may be hospitalized soon due to how severe it’s getting and I’m training a service dog. I’m getting the service dog because I 1. Forget to take my medication 2. Have issues with self harm and 3. Have panic/anxiety attacks that are so bad I faint and I’ve gotten badly hurt because of that. Is this a disability? Sorry if I’m offending anyone I just really don’t know...
