Bleeding already!?

Hi mammas,
I’m 10 weeks PP and breastfeeding. This morning I woke up and I’m bleeding! I thought this wasn’t supposed to happen until I was finished breastfeeding. Could something else be the matter? I called my DR office and left a message but haven’t heard back yet. Any one experience this?

Nope that's when I got mine perfectly normal

I exclusively breastfed all 3 of my boys. I got my periods.
First - 8 weeks PP
Second - 12 weeks PP
Third - 14 weeks PP
Some women get their periods. Some do not. This is why breastfeeding is not birth control

I got mine back with my 5th after just 7 weeks while breastfeeding. That’s why you should never depend on it for birth control.

Got mine at 6 weeks pp while EBF. But it was coming every 2-1/2 weeks so my Midwife had me take 800mg of Motrin every 8 hours until the bleeding stopped and interestingly enough it worked. I haven’t had a period since Feb. 10. She also had me start on the minipill once the bleeding stopped since I had clearly started ovulating and couldn’t rely on BF’ing as BC.

oh no. you can get your period back even when breastfeeding.  you're also very fertile after giving birth and breastfeeding does not work as birth control. I think I bled for 2 weeks after birth and got my period back 4 weeks later. some women can go longer before getting theirs back. it just depends on how quickly your hcg levels drop.
