Skyla and discharge

So I have had the skyla IUD since july of 2017 and Ive been having so much discharge the past two months or so . It has a slight odor so i thought maybe BV . No odd color or anything. I went to my gyno today to trim my strings and for her to take a swab. She says everything looks very normal. Is it just the fact that I have an iud? Is anyone else experiencing this???
