Cervix position?

Hi, just hoping I could get some tips from some ladies who are using cervical position to determine ovulation, pregnancy? Or even when their period is coming.

I’m confused on when I should be testing, and how often?

I checked this morning, AF supposed to come next Tuesday... and my cervix is the whole finger deep, and super soft almost feels like swollen. I have creamy discharge

My husband and I have been ttc and haven’t been successful for several months now, I got frustrated with the ovulation strips so have just been using the calendar and trying to monitor cervical changes...
