Nipple creams???

So I tried breastfeeding with my son and he had a hard time latching so we switched to formula he’s now 2 1/2. Our baby girl was just born Sunday she’s doing better then our son did breastfeeding, but y’all my nipples hurt soooo bad!!!! Their so dry and chapped and very sensitive to the touch now, any recommendations???

Express a little breastmilk using your hands and rub it on after every feeding. Let air dry. You can use a lanolin type ointment to keep them from chapping and drying. Make sure to apply before a shower so the hot water doesn’t make it worse. It gets better!

Bamboobies nipple balm or Simple Truth Organic nipple balm. Both amazing and 1000 better than lanolin that stuff is a gross sticky mess

Lanolin by Medela, comes in a purple tube and its all natural and cheap! I used it liberally and I nursed all 3 of my children. It’s the best!

I just rub my own breast milk on them or let them air dry with breast milk on them and I haven’t had any problems with my nipples by doing that. Also, lanolin cream I hear is good if that doesn’t work for you.

all of the above plus a breast shell such as these. I hated that my nursing pads would get stuck to my nipple and I would have to peel it off. made it even more sore. the breast shell allows your nipple to breath without anything touching it at all.

I use the lanolin cream by lansinoh and the stuff by the honest company in a little purple tin. the first weeks are the worst but it gets better. hang in there!
