L&D essential oil recommendations?

Anyone have experiences with using aromatherapy during labor? What oils did you find helpful??

I am doing essential oils for L&D; this time  I've been told stress away the week before , tangerine after for swelling , gentle baby for bonding . then I just got gentle babies book and it has a lot of info in it

My doula used peppermint on a washcloth.  When i got really nauseous or tired during labor, she would wave it in front of my face and have me breathe in.  It helped but don’t use it after baby as peppermint is not safe for newborns.

my midwives, said only bother with lavender and vanilla, most women can't stand anything else

😂😂 The only experience I had  with them... was leaving them in my bag. There's so many "go to , musts" for labor I just ended up watching  movies
