Symptoms of PCOS but “normal” bloodwork
I’m mainly here to vent. My husband and I have been TTC for 4 years now. I have no fertility coverage and we just haven’t been in a place to commit to further testing out of pocket recently.
I had a tiny ray of hope and as odd as it’s going to sound it was a possible PCOS diagnosis. I have so many of the markers for PCOS. And had basically diagnosed myself with it. I went to the obgyn last week for my yearly and she ran bloodwork for PCOS. I was honestly hoping to get confirmation so that I had some solid diagnosis to hold to so that I could make changes that might actually help with my fertility. They told me that my labs came back “essentially normal” with my testosterone being slightly high. I just don’t know if I should request a copy for myself to see just how high my T is and to make sure the other numbers are in range or just accept it?
I just want some tangible explanation for my infertility without having to go through a vast array of random testing I have to pay for. I know I’m not alone in this frustration. Thanks for letting me vent ladies.
