C Section question.. UPDATED!!

UPDATE!!! Thank you ladies for all the responses. I had to have an emergency C Section on the 18th due to going into labor on my own at 38w2d. It was a very rough and scary process. Had complications before and during the C section, but baby is here safe and sound!! When you get to the hospital, do they hook you up to the contraction and baby heartbeat monitors while you wait for the c section? Curious question. FTM and my scheduled c section is on Monday, so Im getting very anxious/scared/nervous 😣
