Do you think it's possible to be in a serious relationship with someone, but you both don't have much in common?

I think it can make things interesting for a while, but question it long term.  the difference between my marriage and the ones I've watched fall apart...

Of course! If you were both exacty the same, your relationship wouldn't be very interesting. As far as interests and hobbies go, my boyfriend and I don't have any in common. And for us, that's okay. For example, I'm a horseback rider, and he's a DJ. He doesn't have a huge interest in horses, and I don't have a huge interest in DJing. But, every now and then, he'll watch me ride, or I'll go with him to a "gig". We just balance it out, and support each other the best that we can :)
