Does having an abortion make getting pregnant again harder?

People are so uneducated voting yes. If you have an abortion and it's done properly it has no effect on your fertility in the future.

I was told by a doctor that after the second one it decreases your chances significantly and even more if you continue to get them.. On the other hand.. I personally know someone that has gotten 13 and obviously has no problem getting pregnant again..

My past is my past, but I can tell you that in no way if done properly and not in a back alley lol it shouldn't hinder the future baby making process. If you have troubles there could be a thing out of a list of problems why. Because you are a "baby murder" or "sinned" wouldn't be on that list. I am having my third child in November and my past decisions did not reflect on my present child baring state.

I personally think it does...but just my experience and probably guilt!! But then again when i had my first daughter it took 2 years if unprotected sex to conceive. I've been checked by my dr. And he said everything was fine. I honestly think it's more of a guilt thing

I have two friends that have had them.  They have both tried to conceive afterwards with no luck. One has been TTC for over 5 years & thousands of dollars spent on fertility clinics & the other has been TTC for about 3 years naturally.  Not sure if it's their guilt, but they both seem to beleive its due to having abortions.

If it's done properly and nothing goes wrong then no your chances will not decrease. But majority of women when they get one depending how it's done get some scar tissue and that will decrease your chances very slightly. But if everything was proper and no scar tissue or other problems it won't decrease your chances. Their is a number where after you have taken the pill form so many times it does start decreasing your chances slightly. But I do not remember how many times you have to take it

I got pregnant at 19 on accident and have a beautiful little girl. When I was 21 I had an abortion for now im having problems ttc.

I had a abortion bc I messed up I'm 2008 long story short a x was cheating accused me of cheating he was gone 4 weeks at a time I was stupid and young.  I got  pregnant 2010 but ended up with a dnc bc my twins we're dead at 8 weeks miscarried them at 17-18 weeks so after that I found it harder to get pregnant
