being induced pros/cons?

I'm told that for being 35 they might recommend being induced early. has anyone been induced for that reason? I'm little concerned because I had a hemmorhage with my last birth and I know it could possibly cause it to happen.

I'm pregnant now at age 38, and had my first baby at 37. neither time was I told I needed to be induced for age reasons (first baby born naturally and healthy at 39w+6). I would definitely do some further research into why they think it's necessary and get a second opinion.
