proposal.... ??

Question

So I have been with my boyfriend for 7 months now and we are only 16 and the other day he asked me if I would marry him. He didn't have a ring but he said he would get me one and we would get married in the future. I made a compromise with him by saying if you propose to me next year (we will be 18) or any time after that I will say yes guaranteed. Did I do the right thing?? He seemed happy with my answer though

Too young and too soon in my opinion. you had a very nice response and he could always make a promise to you without the promise ring up until the day he decides to propose. studies say it takes at least a year to really get to know somebody plus moving in with them before any kind of commitment is a HUGE PLUS! you'll really get the idea of who you're marrying at that point!

At around 8 months my relationship fell to pieces, we’re still clinging on but it isn’t working. I’m the age as you and think it’s v young to be talking about things like that but your reply was a good compromise x
