I had my twin girls on June 10th
I know this is a bit late but I finally have a chance to post lol I went to my doctors for my weekly non stress test on June 10th to find out I had preeclampsia and get sent to the hospital immediately for an emergency c-section. I had to take magisum sulfate (which sucks and hurts like a well you know lol) they had to flush it as quickly as possible and then they found out I had thrombocytopenia ( big word for low platelets) so in turn I couldn't have a spinal or an epidural so they had to give me a general and knock me completely out however because of everything going on with my body they were not comfortable keeping me out any longer than 3 minutes...from start to finish. There was a danger to me as well as the babies. My blood pressure got as high as 224/180 and I started going into labor on my own right before they took me back. We didn't realize or know at the time but apparently my body just became highly allergic to my pregnancy and had I not went to my dr that day I probably wouldn't be here and neither would my girls. Thankfully we are and are doing wonderfully. Twin A Falynn Monroe was 4 lbs 7 oz and twin B Parker Addalind was 3 lb 13 oz. For being born at 36 weeks they had minor complications. Because of their small sizes they had a hard time keeping their body temperatures up and gaining weight so they spent some time in the warmers in the nursery at the hospital we were there a total of 11 days and just brought them home Saturday. Although the nurses were great being home has been a million times better and being Mommie to my baby girls is the best thing ever! Here are a few pics.
