"Are you sure it's not twins?"

Maybe it's just me, maybe I'm overreacting, or maybe it's just the hormones.. I was at the store last night, checking out, and the cashier asked me how far along I was. I kindly said "14 weeks." acting shocked, with wide eyes, she replied "Oh, congratulations, but are you sure it's not twins?!" I immediately burst into tears because that comment made me feel SO huge..

I hate this, it's like people are suddenly experts on how far along you are based on your size! Everyone is different. My uterus is tipped to the front and I've always had wide hips so I have a belly at 15w. I'm sure you don't look huge at all. Be proud, you're carrying a human life :)

I hear that all the time. I’m 13 weeks and it’s been like that every pregnancy. I ignore it. Or just screw with them and say I lost count.

Doesn’t anybody know the rule?!? Never ask a woman if she’s pregnant. Never. If she doesn’t tell you then never assume she is. I would’ve been rude af. “Don’t you have a job to do other than butting into my business” damn rule breakers.
