how many newborn diapers? ?

I'm going to have 2 under 2 and both in cloth. I'd like to wash every 2-3 or 3-4 days. I heard newborns can go though about 24 diapers a day..was this true for you? how many newborn diapers would you suggest so I'm not washing diapers everyday on top of all the baby and toddler clothing. I'll be using mostly aio with a few covers and 12 prefolds. so far I have 14 aio.

I used about 16 newborn prefolds or fitteds a day. You’d probably need at least 36 to wash every two days. The problem is, mine grew out of them so quickly. While I loved doing it and having them, gosh- seemed like I spent so much time and energy prepping for the newborn cloth diapering stage and it was over so quickly. We don’t plan to have any more kids so I’m kind of questioning it. A lot of my covers were gifts though so I really didn’t spend too much on it all. Hoping to resell at some point...
