Is it my fault we can’t get pregnant?

So i had the iud in for 8 years it was the mirena. My doctor told me it was good for 10 years i later found out it was only good for 5. I got it removed Feb 13th 2018 we been ttc since. My husband told me today it was my fault we weren’t pregnant yet because i had my birth control in too long. So has anyone had a similar experience?

Rubbish! What loving husband blames his wife for not falling pregnant? How is that supposed to help things along? Sweetie, you only just removed the Mirena two months ago.  That’s nothing.  It can take a year or more to fall pregnant naturally,  The best thing for you both is to relax and just enjoy trying.  Don’t allow yourself to feel guilty.  Having an IUD doesn’t stop your chances of getting pregnant.  No one would use one otherwise.

It's not related to the IUD. You return to fertility very fast after an IUD since you usually still ovulate on it.

Also i was on BC for 11 straight years and got pregnant after being off for 2 months

it's not true 😐 you can get pregnant after having Mirena IUD. I had 2✌ inserted for a total of 6 years and we got pregnant 🤰 on our 9th month of trying 😕 Yes it took longer than expected but it happened 😁 Baby dust to you ☄ it's not your fault or Mirena IUD fault 😊

One it’s not your fault and two, 2 months is hardly any time trying to conceive. I only had my Mirena for 3 years, had it removed in December 2016 and I’m still waiting for my BFP.

I had the mirena in for a couple years also. Once I got it taken out it took me and my husband 6 months to get pregnant. It takes time for your body to readjust.

If you’re really concerned try going to a fertility clinic. It would be best to tear both of you. Definitely talk to your doctor.
