Box hair dye safe while breastfeeding?

Need to cover up my grays ... just wondering if I should wait or if I can safely do it now .? 
Ps I’m 28 and baby is 6 weeks if that matters .

Salon dyes are better. I love the Aveda ones - very gentle and not so smelly. And if you’re just doing highlights/touch ups I would think it’s safe - it’s safe in pregnancy so similar rules probably apply.

Honestly box dyes are horrible to use no matter what! The chemicals in them are worse for your hair. I would go to a local beauty store (over here it’s Sally’s and cosmoprof) and by the dues there and the developers. They really don’t cost that much more and are easy to use!
