Work At Home Moms/Self-Employed Moms

Ny`Shalah

Hello mommies! This question is mainly for moms who are self-employed and work from their homes. I posted this in another group also. I gave birth five months ago. My husband I decided it would be best if I left my career in education and stayed home with our baby girl as opposed to returning to work and hiring a nanny. It was the BEST decision ever and I love every moment of being here with my princess. Although she is only five months, she is growing and changing everyday. I am so BLESSED to experience these milestones and not have to receive pictures or videos from a nanny of my child reaching milestones. Back in January, I decided to start my very own education consulting business from home. I LOVE my business and it's going GREAT. However, I am still fairly new to being a mom and brand new to being self-employed and because of that, I am having a little trouble with getting work done. I am seriously struggling with time management. My husband is AMAZING and helps out so much, but he is a coach at a college about 50 minutes away from our home so he is gone pretty much all day during the week. We live away from both families so there's no one to come over and keep an eye on my baby girl while I work, which is why I need some tips on how balancing everything. I spend my days playing with my daughter, cuddling, crawling around on the floor with her lol, nursing, pumping, cooking, online shopping lol, etc. I try to fit work in, but it's hard. I typically get a lot done between 6 and 8 in the evenings. By that time, she is down for her evening nap. I get the most work done on Sundays after church. My husband keeps an eye on our baby girl while I work. I'm trying to eliminate having to work on weekends. Any tips tips on how to manage my time better during the week? My Sorority Sister works from home, but she works for a marketing and communications company and she has set hours to get her work done. I LOVE the freedom I have with working for myself, but do you all think it may benefit me to set a schedule for myself? How do you all balance being a mother, wife, and being self-employed? Any tips and advice will be appreciated.
