TTC, brown discharge today...

My husband and I are TTC. Today I got my period which is 2 weeks late. I've never been late like this before. But it's not a normal period. It's brown and not coming crazy heavy but there is normal cramping with it. Normally my periods are really red though. I'm concerned because it's so late that I'm getting my period and it's brown which isn't normal for me. Any advice?
