Red spotting mean not pregnant?

It's like a very light period, off and on. Started off as a few drops of light pink blood when I wiped. then the next day turned into a light red bleed for a few hours, then disappeared and went back to a very light-brownish mucusy discharge for the whole day, then turned back to red blood but pretty light.  I even was intimate with my boyfriend and (tmi) he didn't notice any blood on him, but that was when it was stopped. Then that night is when it started again. 
Does this mean I'm definitely not pregnant? I've heard of women experiencing red bleeding before they figured out they were pregnant but I've also heard that any RED bleeding means you're not. My usual periods aren't like this they don't start with spotting and don't go off and on until the 5th day. But this was only one-two days (May be more if it continues.) 
I had unprotected sex about 10 days ago and then more times the past week. Should I take a test or just chalk it up to a weird period...

it could be implantation bleeding! when is af due? do you know when you ovulated?

I am literally experiencing the exact same thing now and I am terrified! Idk what it means that's why I came on here to see if anyone had any tips or thoughts on the topic... I don't know what to do 😥
