If you shared your fertility issues with a friend and all she responded was "I'm so fertile that they call me fertile myrtle, I can get pregnant just by men staring at me" It kinda saddened me, how would you feel?

It is very insensitive of that friend. In Spanish we have a saying that translates to "eating infront of the hungry" or "feasting infront of the poor/hungry".. along those lines. We say it when ppl are rubbing stuff in our face. I think it fits very well in this case. Your "friend" is not listening to your problem and is being really insensitive.

Sometimes people just don’t know what to say or don’t think it affects you as much as it does. I wouldn’t take it personally.

that's pretty fucked up, maybe they're just not a good advice giver type of person and just didn't know what else to say though. still pretty rude that she liked bragged about it...maybe she didn't understand how much it hurt you that your infertile and just thought she was making a innocent joke..idk,idk her

A lot of the time people don’t realize what it’s like to have fertility issues. Some people get pregnant a bunch of times and terminate the pregnancy not realizing how blessed and lucky they are to be able to have a healthy reproductive system. I wouldn’t take it to heart, considering she didn’t mean it in a bad way.
