Did you take a birthing/Lamaz class?

Why you choose what you chose and would you have done differently looking back now?

I took one but it didn’t really help a whole lot. Everyone’s pregnancy and labor are different and the class was super generalized.

The nurse will basically walk you through everything you need to be doing, that’s how it was for me anyways. I didn’t really need to take any of the classes.

I took a birthing class and really enjoyed it at the time, it helped my SO a lot, he was very anxious about what he was supposed to do when I was in labor and the class focused a lot on the coach’s role and relaxation. Labor happened and the class ended up being a waste of money for us, I had a precipitous delivery and wasn’t in labor long enough for him to need to use any of his new relaxing techniques.

I took a birthing class that was offered at the birthing center I had my boy in and it was amazing. The breathing techniques I learned were the only thing that got me through my natural birth. 
Totally worth it!

my hospital has tons of classes, birthing, breathing, breastfeeding, purple period, ect. some free some not. 
the only thing I did was take a hospital tour and happy i did. 
I dont regret not taking anything else
