Having trouble timing contractions

I’ve been having contractions on and off for a few days now. The move I move the more I have. Now lying on the couch I feel like I’m stuck in one giant contraction and I’m having trouble timing them. My pain tolerance is high and I wish my water would just break so I would know for sure.
