Upper lip tie?

Ive never had an issue with his latch, it just takes a few minutes or so for his top lip to flare out

Anyone have babies with one that had problems breastfeeding? My LO is 2 weeks old and my lactation consultant told me about it last week. Her latch is horrible so I’m having to pump exclusively for now. Any advice?

Get is checked out by your pediatrician I had a significantly large gap and needed oral surgery and braces as a result of my lip tie not going away on it's own at 28 years old

My daughter has the same thing, it’s gotten a little better with time, she’s now 2. Her dentist said not to worry about it, if it’s still attached when she’s 8 or 9 years old he says they will do a procedure where they cut it. But until then he said not to worry about it😊

my son has it hes 5 now and it moved up it will go away when your baby is around 4/5
