Knowing sex?

I’m 10w4d with twins and doctors have not given much clear info about when/how we can find out the babies’ sex. I know with singletons you can do blood-work as early as 9w, but it doesn’t seem like that is available with twins. So do we have to wait to 16-22 weeks and see on the ultrasound? Thanks for your help!

You can still have blood work. if it is two girls they will know or they can say Well we know there is at least one boy in there. That happened to me. It ended up being b/g twins. They do it just like normal on an Ultrasound. If you go to a high risk place with the big screens they will probably do it there. Normal timE frame is between 16-20 weeks but if I remember correctly I found out much earlier at one of the big screen appointments.

Natera’s genetic test is accurate for twin genders. I found it I was having boy/girl twins at 11 weeks after doing the blood draw at 10 weeks. Lots of companies do genetic tests, but Natera has the edge with twins so you would want to check on the brand before shelling out any money. Good luck!

I found out I was having mono Di Boys at 14 weeks! And yes the blood work isn’t accurate for twins!!

I'll be finding out at 20 weeks at my anatomy scan. My last scan was at 12 weeks & I don't have another scheduled until 20 weeks exactly & then they're every 4 weeks from there till babes arrive! ☺️✨

I just did my genetic testing and they told me the Panorma test is the first noninvasive test to tell you each gender of the baby! Hopefully i’ll get my results in a week! The company that performs the test is Natera!

I found out at 14 weeks - could clearly see one boy and one girl on the ultrasound.

I have MoDi twins so I have ultrasounds every two weeks, so I found out I’m having boys at my 14 week ultrasound.

I was told at 14 weeks and at 16 weeks again same genders.

If they are identical you should be able to find out early with a blood test, but if they are fraternal you will probably have to wait til your 20 week scan. I’m finding out at 19 weeks - only 2 weeks to go now!

My doctor said I have to wait until after 14 weeks. (It’s actually a law here... but I’m guessing thats because it is more certain/less mistakes at that time).
