Today my grandmother and aunt announced a summer BBQ party and invited about 2/3 the people from the baby shower that my friend is hosting for me six days later. I live in HI and the shower and party are in CA where I am spending the next six months. Since I haven't seen most of these people in a year or more, it seems anticlimactic to have a party days before my baby shower. Plus the party is a 3-hr roundtrip and the shower is a 4-hr rt. I'm 29 weeks, and long road trips aren't very enjoyable. Am I being overly sensitive?
