Switching to formula late in the game?

Question

Can anyone give me any inside or advice on how to switch over my 9 month old onto formula? It is medically necessary for us to stop now and I'm not sure He is going to take it well. He also has a very sensitive tummy. Any brands of formula you may recommend?

I switched my daughter at 7 months and she was sensitive to cow dairy so I picked a goat milk based formula. Goat milk is gentle on baby's tummy and is closest to human milk. It's impossible to find in the US (ridiculous because it's awesome!!) so I bought it online from Europe at organicstart.com. It is pricy but worth it in my opinion! European formulas in general are way better than US ones! They have higher standards, better ingredients, and no corn syrup.

My LO has a milk protein allergy and reflux. We have him on Nutramigen. It doesn't taste good at first so I don't necessarily recommend switching to that unless it is a last resort. It took my LO 2 weeks to get used to the taste now he gulps it up no problem lol I suggest going with something like Similac's Partially Broken Down Protein or Enfamil's Gentlease which are both gentle on baby's tummy or whatever other brand, every company has their version. Lactose free formulas are labelled as 'sensitive' but their main ingredient tends to be corn syrup.
